August 4, 1944 (Friday)
Didn’t get on today – they went on a big daylight, to within a few miles of Bordeaux to an oil storage depot (low level all the way). They left around two and got back around 9:30 (almost eight hours airborne).
Didn’t do anything all day – but I got lots of sleep in.
The boys said there wasn’t any flak whatsoever (hate to miss that kind of an op!).
