August 8, 1944 (Tuesday)
Got up about noon. Not on battle order (because our new Squadron Leader said he couldn’t find me – clueless dolt).
Sat around all afternoon but after a bit of flap about putting me on instead of Boden as he hadn’t done a pukka night trip, things quietened down and I spent the night writing letters. Wrote a blueform to Mom and sent some pictures, also a letter and pictures to Barb.
