January 3, 1944 (Monday)
Walked up to the mess with Kirsch this a.m. Got a navigator this
afternoon. A Sgt. Henderson (first name Murray) from Kirkland Lake.
That’s a start anyway! He seems a nice fellow.
I went to see about my watch and they haven't done anything to
it yet so I’m to go back on Wednesday.
Got a wad of letters today - about seven. None of any importance.
