January 8, 1944 (Saturday)

Had lecture on Range Orders this morning – then spent the rest of the time genning up on dinghies. Had a lecture, then a practical demonstration with Hall and some Sergeant in the dinghy (which was inflated in one of the static water holders). Then had quite a little sail – after they bailed it out.

I got my watch back and it’s running good so far.

My crew is Henderson, Marsden, Livingstone, and Peardon. I wrote to Barbara tonight – I didn’t finish it, just got about eight pages done.

Nugie and I took some pictures of each other this afternoon, read a little, etc.

Johnny Peardon
