June 28, 1944 (Wednesday)
Slept till noon. I had “W” for Willie tonight, a new mark IV as “P” for Peter is still being repaired (the faults we found last night).
Checked it over, everything apparently OK but ops scrubbed about 6 p.m. so I read all evening. No mail today and I couldn’t work up the ambition to write anyone.
We had the liaison (Canadian) officer to see us today – he had nothing whatever of importance to tell us.
