September 3, 1944 (Sunday)
Got up and went to church with the family today at Great Barton. Nice little church and service similar to ours – must admit to being a bit lost among the Psalms at times.
Mr. G’s mother came over in afternoon as also did Susie (know her by no other name - met her last time here). Saw Mrs. Nice at church this morning and had a short talk with her. Played croquet and ping pong in the afternoon with Daphne and Brian – had quite a good time.
Escorted Mrs. G to the bus along with Brian and her blasted pup at 8:30. Went with Brian to feed his rabbits, then after listening to the news played cards with all but Mrs. G (who watched). Quite a nice day it was.
